Nesite to Redevelop the Former Richard Ginori Area in Milan
More than 30,000 square metres between the complex in Via Ludovico il Moro and Tower C in Viale Richard, completely redesigned while keeping the original structure intact. The 200 metres of white façade, the wrought iron windows and the restored historical inscription “Società ceramica Richard Ginori” pay homage to the industrial memory.
A skyscraper lying on the Naviglio, Milan’s most famous factory replaces ceramics with creativity and becomes a laboratory of ideas and transversal skills for about 35 large marketing and communication companies. Emblematic – in order to imagine the size of the new citadel of talent – are undoubtedly the 70 meeting rooms set up. The maxi open spaces, on the other hand, follow one another along the original columns and can accommodate more than 2,000 employees.
The redevelopment of the former Richard Ginori area involved us in the supply of the entire raised floor with different solutions, dictated both by the multiple uses of the spaces and by the high standards of sustainability required by BREEAM certification.
Flexibility, quality of the production chain and use of certified and sustainable materials, Nesite meets the values and principles of the project, designed to reduce polluting emissions and water and energy consumption, using 100% renewable sources.
Complex via Ludovico il Moro
12.000 m2 – floor system composed of calcium sulphate panels, 30 mm thick, with covering in:
• Rubber, 2 mm thick, 60×60 cm format, in the high traffic areas most exposed to wear.
• Loose-Lay Carpet, size 50×50 cm, in maxi open spaces thanks to its excellent sound absorption capacity.
• Ceramic, size 60×60 cm, in the main access area and offices.
• FSC®-certified parquet, with seven individually chamfered staves, in the 60×60 cm and 60×120 cm sizes, treated with environmentally friendly oil paint, for greater resistance to abrasion and wear.
