Home / News / Eventi / relaunch of the “auteur” design at EDIT Napoli

Past and present, tradition and modernity, stories of manufacture which maintain the charm of Italian craftsmanship. We are talking about EDIT Napoli, the editorial design fair which will take place in Naples from 6 to 9 June, with the aim of giving visibility to designers, companies and artisans who use high quality production processes and combine contemporary ideas and methods to ancient knowledge of doing.

Edit Napoli 6 - 9 giugno Nesite

The event is born from the meeting between Domitilla Dardi, curator and historian, and Emilia Petruccelli, entrepreneur; together drawn up a project which includes culture and entrepreneurship, aimed at buyers, architects, interior designers and retailers.

At EDIT Napoli only FINISHED PRODUCTS … not concepts not utopias

The concept of editorial design which characterizes the fair, is connected to the concrete action of editing, that is of publishing a work (a product, an object), complies with certain values in all its creative and productive process.

EDIT Naples develops with an innovative format which includes, in addition to the days of the fair, an earlier phase called “Design in Residence”, during which three internationally renowned designers collaborated personally with local craftsmen.

The Minori series, born from the collaboration between Reinaldo Sanguino, Venezuelan ceramist, and with the masters of the Ceramiche Fes laboratory (Amalfi coast)

The prototypes developed during these experiences will be produced and sold under the brand MADE IN EDIT, in full compliance with the intent of the fair, which is committed to offering only finished products destined to be functional in daily use, which can be ordered.

A concrete project, therefore, to support and enhance craftsmanship (as rich as at risk of extinction) which, in a country with over 1,300,000 artisan realities like ours, should be replicated in all the regions.

NESITE (proudly) AT EDIT NAPOLI

Nesite is one of the companies selected (“We are kind but selective” is one of the mottos of joining the fair) to participate at this unique event, in line with the path of growth and innovation undertaken by our company, focused on a “tailored” service, with customized and customizable products of high quality, able to please even the most refined needs.

At Edit Napoli we set out to “dispel the myth” of the raised floor intended as a purely technical solution, promoting its high aesthetic potential, which are reflected in design projects such as Perfect Darkness by Elisa Ossino, presented at the Fuorisalone 2019 (here the article of Elle Decor Magazine).

The first product that we will bring to the fair is the 4.0 floor, the modern and versatile solution with pigmented resin finish.

pavimento 4.0, versione PLAIN, finitura lucida

Available in PLAIN (homogeneous) and CONCRETE (concrete effect) version, the 4. 0 floor allows the customization of various aspects such as color (with the possibility of choosing the color directly from the RAL scale), degree of opacity (glossy, semi-gloss or opaque) or type of finish (standard or embossed).

From resin to light, to emphasize the composition there will be JUNO, the new high-brightness LED walkable panel, created in collaboration with simonepiva and presented at Architect at Work 2018.

It’s a solution of particular value, with HI-MACS® Solid Surface finish – which determines its strength and ease of maintenance – designed to fit inside raised floors, in order to create refined paths of light or highlight objects inside spaces such as museums or art galleries.

JUNO, silk – screen printed version

JUNO is available in two versions, with diffused light on the whole surface (SP) or silk – screen printed (PL), version which can be customized with various textures, making each project unique.

Our presence at EDIT Napoli will be completed by TOURNER LA CARTE, the monoblock kitchen born from the collaboration between Simone Piva and Elisa Ossino, presented at Fuorisalone 2019.

The extremely innovative design aspect is the possibility to move and hide the induction cooktops and the sinks, following one’s own desires.

TOURNER LA CARTE is a handmade furniture, which follows the conceptual line of the works created by simonepiva, where craftsmanship meets refined design canons.

We look forward to seeing you at EDIT Napoli from 6 to 9 June, at Complesso San Domenico Maggiore!
