Passerella Polo Intermodale Ronchi dei LEgionari

Our Twin Floor Outdoor for the Ronchi Intermodal Pole

The Intermodal Pole,  after 29 years of waiting, becomes a reality: Ronchi will be the first airport in the Northeast region connected to the railway line.

The construction, which began last year on January the 23rd, is almost complete: 395 days for the building of a work which was scheduled for completion since 1988, when it was included in the regional transport plan. On March 19th 2018, it is expected to take place the arrival of the first of the 70 daily trains.

The Intermodal Pole project includes:

  • a new train stop;
  • a new bus station;
  •  2800 square meters of pedestrian area and an air-conditioned waiting room;
  • a covered parking with a capacity of 500 cars;
  • an outdoor parking lot with a total capacity of 1000 cars;
  • a pedestrian catwalk which will have a total length of about 425 meters for 7.5 meters of width;

Precisely for this catwalk, which characterizes the new airport, Nesite has supplied and installed over 2000 square meters of outdoor raised floor.

The selection of materials has been taken care of down to the smallest details: the floor will need to stand high pedestrian flows since the very beginning, and it is destined to increase considerably over time thanks to the territory development policya adopted by Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region

Our Twin floor outdoor panel, entirely composed of components recycled, pressed and sinterized at very high temperatures, has proved to be the best option thanks to its high thermal – hygroscopic performances, suitable for environments subjected to high traffic and extreme thermal excursions.

A special processing of the panel has been carried out for this specific project, using specific chemical anchors which guarantee and maintain the properties of the flooring unaltered over time.

The supply of Nesite raised floors for Milan’s M4 metro line

After the Rome Metro C and the Dubai underground, the Nesite raised floors will now be installed In the Milan M4 urban rail line (known as “Metro Blu”).

More than 2,000 square metres of raised floor up to 1 m in height with calcium sulphate core and vinyl upper covering will be installed in the machine rooms of the new Milan metro line stations.

The raised floor system composed by calcium suphate panels represents the best combination between technical and performance qualities: highly thermal insulation in case of fire (about 60 minutes of fire resistance) and acoustic insulation.

The M4 metro line or “Linea blu” will link central Milan to the East side (the Forlanini quarter and the Linate airport) and to the West side (the Lorenteggio quarter and the San Cristoforo railway station) and, according to forecasts, will transport over 80 million passengers every year.

Its innovative “driverless” driving system incorporates an intelligent traffic-control solution that meets the most rigorous safety standards for passengers.

We are proud to have contributed to yet another project that will bring Milan even closer to the quality standards of other major European capitals” says Fabio Di Marco, Sales Director of Nesite.
