The next 11th of November will be inaugurated on Saadiyat island the museum of starchitect Jean Nouvel, one of the most ambitious in the whole world.
Abu Dhabi’s cultural future revolves around Saadiyat island and around the Cultural district which, with its 27 square meters, is a true treasure chest. As a matter of fact, once it will be finished, it will include museums such as the Zayed National Museum, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
– “The Louvre in Abu Dhabi will open in two months after eleven years of planning and construction, and the guests will enter a place full of light, a meeting place capable of revealing a planetary number of cultures which cross both seas and centuries. It’s a piece of architecture which protects its treasures, it’s a tribute to the Arab city and to its poetry through geometry and light and, underneath its huge dome, there is an evocation of temporality that inevitably marks the hours, the days, and the passage of our lives “ – stated Jean Nouvel.
